Joseph Baglio began his culinary journey in Italy back in 1959, starting as an assistant in small local restaurants. Over the years, he honed his skills in the bustling kitchens of large hotel restaurants and cruise ships. In 1977, Joseph fell in love with the charming Catskill Mountain area and decided it was the perfect place to open his own restaurant, Vesuvio.
Fast forward to 2019, Vesuvio came under new management, and we've been dedicated to upholding Joe's 45-year legacy of exceptional food and service ever since. We’ve kept his original staff, ensuring the same quality and warmth you've come to love.
